2. TelepathyThe most often used power of former White Queen, who is among the best at using it. I'm going to start with general power level examples. White Queen era Uncanny X-Men #169 In coma, Shaw speculates Xavier being behind it, as he's one of the few (or only) with sufficient power to accomplish it. New Mutants #15 Hinted to be around Xavier's level Uncanny X-Men #284 Stated by both Xavier and Storm to be a telepath in Jean's class. Xavier said he should have felt a psychic as powerful as she pass away. img706.imageshack.us/img706/1617/uncanny284suchatelepath.jpgUncanny X-Men #312 Called a telepath of the highest order by the narrator Generation X era She was stated to be a top-tier telepath several times during Generation X. Generation X #16 - "a psion of enormous ability" Generation X #30 - "A telepath of enormous power" img11.imageshack.us/img11/8848/genx30enpower.jpgGeneration X #35 - "One of the most powerful telepaths on the planet" img689.imageshack.us/img689/7956/genx35planet.jpgGeneration X #42 - "One of the most powerful psi talents on the planet" img4.imageshack.us/img4/8325/genx42planet2.jpgMorrison's view on the matter img6.imageshack.us/img6/580/99403317.pngThat is, Emma and Jean (before she got grew into the Phoenix power too much as happened slowly during his run), were pretty evenly matched. Modern times (post-Morrison) Adjectiveless X-Men Annual img488.imageshack.us/img488/6355/xmenannual001035jx6.jpgBack when Xavier was depowered\in space, Rogue calls Emma Frost "the most powerful telepath on the planet" in front of Exodus (!). Wolverine #46 Apparently "level 10 psychic" (whatever it means). Wolverine #55 Called "first class telepath" (though not Emma's best day definitely). X-Men Civil War #2 Valerie Cooper refers to Emma as one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet. X-Men #202 - among the top five telepaths img69.imageshack.us/img69/3594/xmen202fivetps.jpgX-Men Legacy #216 - Takes Xavier on a guided tour in his mind (also said to have abilities rivaling those of Xavier on the recap page) img410.imageshack.us/img410/2043/xmenlegacy216001pl8.jpg

X-Men Legacy Annual (23rd September 2009) Writer: Mike Carey Artist: Daniel Acuna and Mirco Pierfederici Emma Frost a household name?Before it was very common for Marvel Universe telepaths to compare themselves to Xavier but has Emma finally reached that kind of prominence? Here we have an Initiative D-lister say he's not as good as Emma Frost. He manages to f*ck with Gambits head so...he can't be that that bad. Omega class telepath First of all, Omega level telepath has nothing to do with "omega level mutant", meaning simply top tier telepath. Anyways, here are the interviews and scans illustrating that definition. Matt Fraction - CBR Evolution Revolution 6 (Interview)(11th September 2009) Writer: Matt Fraction Interviewer: Dave RichardsWhat exactly happens with the Sentry and the Void in this scene?Fraction : Scott and Emma knew they couldn't beat the Sentry, so they had to distract the Void and for a split second Emma does just that. She keeps it within herself long enough for Bob Reynolds to snap to, realize what's happening, and flee. All they needed to do was to buy that half-a-second for the Sentry to take off and he flies into space as fast as he can. He realizes the best thing he can do is get off the battlefield. He goes off at the speed of light and the Void rushes after him to reconnect so they can be whole again.
Doing that has left a sliver of the Void in Emma's psyche. She's got this weird, twisted dagger of darkness incarnate in her brain. So she has to stay trapped in diamond form, which cuts her off from her psychic powers. If she were to go flesh and blood the Void would have access to the abilities of an Omega level telepath. So she's basically the carrier for a disease. That was the price she paid. Matt Fraction - Marvel.com (Interview)(17th September 2009) Writer: Matt Fraction Interviewer: Kevin MahadeoMarvel.com: You mention things from the past building to the present. And we see that with Emma, a piece of the Void still remains in her. Apparently these pieces continue to build to the future as well.Fraction: Yeah. She's stuck in diamond form. She's an omega class telepath. She can't risk giving the Void access to that. So, the X-Man's telepath is stuck in a diamond. Matt Fraction - IGN (Interview)(17th September 2009) Writer: Matt Fraction Interviewer: Jesse SchedeenIGN Comics: And that's development we should look towards to pop up again in the series?Fraction: Oh yeah. That's a huge thing. The X-Men's omega class telepath has just been taken off the board. She's stuck in diamond form. As long as she's in diamond form she doesn't have access to her psychic powers, and neither does the Void. Lest the Void gain access to Emma's abilities, she has to stay in diamond form to keep everyone safe. Uncanny X-Men 513(1st July 2009) Writer: Matt Fraction Artist: Terry Dodson Emma describes herself and Charles Xavier as Omega Level Telepaths. Uncanny X-Men 518(3rd December 2009) Writer: Matt Fraction Artist: Terry Dodson Charles Xavier and Cyclops identify Emma Frost as an Omega Class Telepath.

2.1. Mind control
Astonishing X-Men 33(16th December 2009) Writer: Warren Ellis Artist: Phil JimenezEmma Frost casually mind controls 100 people to disperse away from the flanks. Uncanny X-Men 492
Emma mentally coerces Madrox and Rictor to come to the mansion. Astonishing X-Men #7Mindcontrols a group of people into safety X-Men: Deadly Genesis #5 Not sure whether it belongs here or into "illusions" section. Apparently young Emma used to mindcontrol undesirable clients into the "sex with a pillow" during her Hellfire Club days.
[url=http://marvel.com/catalog/?id=12624
New Mutants 4 (Volume 3) (26th August 2009) Writer: Zeb Wells Artist: Diogenes Neves Emma casually makes an entire town forget their encounters with the New Mutants and Legion over the two days. Emma Frost Reduces Kimura to Tears Emma Frost and Banshee's powers
Generation X #25
Emma tricks Banshee into "killing" her with sonic scream to fool Black Tom Cassidy. She shows enough control over her body to realistically imitate comatose state, as well as fine mental control (she regulates the frequency of Banshee scream from deadly to stunning). Emma did Something to Mojo Uncanny X-Men #461 We still haven't found out what but he hasn't bothered the X-Men since Emma vs Husk&Monet StCroix
When trying to save her students from Onslaught danger, Emma faces them rioting (they think she kidnaps them). First she temporary inhibites Husk's powers, and then has to give a lesson to Composite M who has proved herself to be resistant to mind probing, so Emma has to use unorthodoxal methods of taming the arrogant girl- like psionic lightning . Some fine mind control all around.
Empaths' Crush Uncanny X-Men #502 (17th September 2008) Writer: Matt Fraction & Ed Brubaker Artist: Greg LandFlashback to Emma's White Queen days. Empath is crushing over Emma who is the teacher and mentor of the Hellions, he loves her so much that he tries to see into her mind while she's asleep (Empath has been known to make people commit certain sexual deeds for days while under his power). She immediately senses him and gives the sick freak what he wants by forcing him inside her head. Empath is overjoyed...he finds her beautiful and this paves the way for his new fetish (S&M). 2.2. "Psychic surgery". New X-Men: Academy X #31 Emma Frost unlocks some of Hellions potential. Emma Frost and 8 billion minds X-Men #200 Emma Frost enters Rogues head, and manages to locate and isolate her mind from 8 billion screaming war victims minds. What is Hecatomb? Mental Surgery on New Mutants New Mutants #38 (Volume 1) (April 1986) (Writer: Chris Claremont Artist: Rick Leonardi)The New Mutants were murdered and then resurrected by the Beyonder in Secret Wars (Volume 2) #8 and #9. The mental trauma was so severe that Magneto and the White Queen(All the way in her Massachusetts Academy) were picking up on their nightmares and psychic cries. In order to save his students Magnetounder the influence of Empath's abilities takes the White Queen up on her offer. (We also have another off hand reference to where Emma stands in terms of age. New Mutants #40 (Volume 1) (June 1986) (Writer: Chris Claremont Artist: Jackson Guice)What Emma overlooked?Healing the minds of the New Mutants from their traumatic encounter with the all powerful Beyonder is one thing. Healing the damage down to their hearts and souls in the figurative sense is another. The Psychic Surgery was a complete success the New Mutants minds were whole again. However through a supportive role Magneto was able to help overcome the emotional ordeal. And we see more craftiness from the White Queen. She ends up looking like the good guy at the end of it all. Psychic Blindfold Uncanny X-Men 500 Emma temporarly blinds the Mayor of San Francisco before giving her a tour on base- so that she won't reveal the location of said base to anyone. Emma's mental surgery on Cyclops- consequensesGiant Sized Astonishing X-Men #1It turns out Emma has only temporary returned to Scott control over his powers (should be that- otherwise it'd be a massive retcon). But on the other hand, the so-called Jean Allmighty didn't do even that;)

2.3. Range&Concentration Feats.Generation X #16 Banshee's sonic screams are only minor annoyance to Emma during telepathic tracking of her students (they apparently fly from Massachusets academy to Synch's home at St Louis). Why is it difficult to use long range TP on Marvel EarthI thought this should be added because it's quite famous most people know about it, they just don't know what issue it's from. Anyway Magneto inhibited all long ranged telepathy by subtly altering the Earths Magnetic Field which in turn built up a wall of psychic static. All Earth telepaths have to deal with this impairment when using the powers over long distances. More recent confirmation from X4 #1 (though the whole issue is full of PIS (mostly FF-favouring one)It's normally impossible to perform psi-scans from Earth to the space station\space shuttle orbit Long range feats from Emma Classic X-Men #7 Long distance telepathic communication with Shaw (100 miles). img6.imageshack.us/img6/7761/classicxmen7longdistanc.jpgAirport Assistance Claws #1 (October 2006)(Writer: Jimmy Palmiotti, Artist: Joseph Michael LinsnerWolverine's in Tokyo international Airport and he needs to get through the metal detector in order to board the plane. Emma who is in her office in New York mind controls an airport employee in Tokyo and plays a prank on Logan. Afterwards she mind wipes the employee so Logan can board the plane. She does this without the aid of Cerebra. Claws #3 (December 2006)(Writer: Jimmy Palmiotti, Artist: Joseph Michael LinsnerWolverine and the Black Cat need help as they are about to be shot down by military jets as they approach New York city in a helicopter. Wolverine tries to contact Emma by thinking, she picks up on his thoughts and mind wipes the fighter pilots. Wolverine: Origins #6 Seems pretty impressive, well, assuming Wolverine hasn't developed his own telepathy. Apparently any X-Man can just concentrate hard, and then Emma calls back (if you stand next to phone) and answers any questions. Without you even having to state them out loud, she will know what you want already. (The person Wolverine was looking for was Maverick, and yes, he was where she said) X-Man Generation X #50 (April 1999) (Writer: Jay Frerber Artist: Terry Dodson)Emma (in Massachussets Academy)locates and mind-links with Nate Grey who's in Dublin. Worldwide psi-broadcast Uncanny X-Men 500 Emma telepathically projects Cyclops' message to all the mutants remaining in the world without anything like Cerebra. The recepients include even TP-resistant mutants such as Mystique. Telepathy works better in space
Giant Sized Astonishing X-Men#1
Emma Frost, Exodus, Mr. Sinister and Lady MastermindEmma aids Storms team all the way from the X-Mansion in Westchester New York without the aid of Cerebra, in their battle against Mr. Sinister, Exodus, Mystique, The Marauders, The Acolytes and The Brotherhood which is occurring in Antarctica somewhere around the Sor Rondane Mountains. Emma manages to shield the X-Men from Mr. Sinister(Who is no slouch telepathically as he's knocked down Nate Grey telepathically, and was destroying Jeans(She lost her telepathy back then) mind. He also smashed Psylocke on the Astral Plane and she did have her powers), Exodus(Who has pwned Jean Grey with ease twice, and who has pwned Xavier with ease twice and who has taken on two Eternals Sersi who he pwned once and then stalemated in Bloodties and Thena who he was telepathically crushing while similtaneously fighting Quicksilver on Isotope E) and Lady Masterminds powers. Also Emma's presence causes Mr. Sinister, Exodus and Lady Mastermind to be helpless eg Sinister and Exodus can't use their other powers as they're being blocked by her. Leaving the X-Men(To BFR Exodus). Once she gets distracted and searches for her students who happens to be in peril aswell Sinister and Lady Mastermind get their powers back. Exodus is BFR'd. Also note that Emma has finally managed to bypass the newer version of the Sentinels psi-shielding. In Civil War X-Men #2 Emma couldn't pick up any thought patterns from the updated versions due to the Psi-Shielding being upgraded. However now it seems as though she's managed to get around that problem which is not a surprise since she exploited the O.N.E Sentinels tech in Deadly Genesis #2 as well. Anyway anytime the Pilot tries to look at the girls dormitories Emma gives him a stress headache and a nosebleed. Simultaneously in Washington DC, the New X-Men are under attack from the Purifiers and the Reavers. Pixie eventually manages to teleport Rictor and the rest of the team out of there but the port goes wrong and the team end up scattered. Pixies cries for help alert Emma who's loses concentration while trying to locate the scattered children and Rictor. She learns that they're scattered between New York and Washington and from Rictor learns that the Purifiers do not have the baby. Now because she lost concentration due to her students being in trouble yet again, she was locked out by Sinister who just wrecks Storms team. Scrambler messes with Angel and Logans healing factor. Colossus gets mind raped by Mr. Sinister. Storm tries to hold back the Marauders while the others escape but fails as Karima and Lady Mastermind emerge seconds later from the base and attack Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Nightcrawler ends up getting shot by Scalphunter but just manages to port to safety. Anyway Emma finally establishes a link with Logan and Nightcrawler and finds out that Cable has the baby. The O.N.E Sentinels are over run by a silver metallic looking substance(Cables techno-organic virus??? not sure what it is at the moment) and the Sentinels attack the mansion. Emma is knocked out first from the impact. Carey's Words on the Emma/Sinister/Exodus thingEmma was protecting the X-Men from Exodus' and Sinisters Psi Powers Another reader -- "Magneto," no less -- was rubbed the wrong way by a current event as well, and is seeking some clarification. "Exodus seemed so weak in 'Uncanny' #205. Nightcrawler got rid of him easy. Shouldn't someone as powerful as Exodus be more of a challenge?"
Carey: It was meant to be a take-out play, removing him from the battle before he had a chance to bring his powers to bear. Yeah, you're right. Exodus is one of the mutants Sinister had in mind when he said that some of his team could take out the X-Men single-handed. But remember that Kurt is psi-shielded by Emma, so Exodus's first instinct -- to fry his brains inside his skull -- wouldn't work. By the time he starts to go for Plan B, he's miles away." www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12515 X-Men Legacy #210 (30th April 2008) (Writer: Mike Carey Artist: Greg Land & Scot Eaton)Emma can sense that there's a telepathic battle going on thousands of miles away and that Xavier is one of the participants. Phoenix Endsong #5 Emma coordinates Stepford Cuckoos' actions from the great distance (North Pole to New York) when trying to find all the active X-Men mental images and to project them into Phoenix mind making it White Phoenix instead of Dark one.

2.4. Illusions.Firestar LS #1 As a headmistress of Massachusetts academy, Emma frequently used illusions to hide her identity of White Queen. Generation X #1Not so much of an illusion, more of perception alteration (but the same principle), keeping herself and her students invisible to the crowd. Does the same during the fight with Phalanx X4 #5 Weapon X- Sauron Mindgames New X-Men #131 Scott is daydreaming while on the board of the Blackbird. Emma's telepathical presence makes the dreams...sweeter. That's one of their first "mindgames" as far as psychic affair goes. Virtual Reality Scenarios\Environments Virtual Reality Scenario Astonishing X-Men #17 X-Men #194Emma psychically creates a virtual enviroment for Beast: Mastery over illusions Uncanny X-Men 452 Rachel has psychically cloaked the X-Men in an illusion. Emma recognizes who they are immediately and walks straight towards them. She also knows most of the secrets to the Hellfire Club.(Secret Entrances that Wolverine couldn't even find).

2.6. Mind blasts/stuns.Emma Frost LS #8The first experience in offensive telepathy- 16 years old Emma stunning a couple of thugs. The effort makes her bleed...but then, Rome wasn't built in a day. First encounter with X-MenEmma effortlessly downs a group of X-Men (including Wolverine and Storm) with psi-blast. She also captures and sedates Professor Charles Xavier himself.(Off panel)... A scene of Storm's mental torture is also included for the sake of complete set. Someone really needs to write a back story on how she managed to get past the Mansions defences and then do that to him. (Tech is a possibilty but it doesn't have to be seeing how she didn't have much on her. :shifty: ) Uncanny X-Men 316Emma psi-blasts Phalanx replicas of Storm and Gambit. Generation X #16Was posted before as the example of concentration, but I'm going to highlight the stun used on Banshee when needed (due to them getting potentially in the range of Synchplate. Generation X #35.Uses a psionic fry, also referred as one of the most powerful telepaths in the world (that's the 90ies, the best days for the telepaths of X-verse, so that counts for something). X-Treme X-Men #22 A famous Emma vs Storm fight. Strom demonstrates good resistance towards mental domination\probing, yet one psi-blast is enough to knock her out of the sky. Storm then tries to intimidate Emma due to not being able to beat her. Wolverine Origins 5Psionically stuns Wolverine, Cyclops and Captain America. X4 #1Emma causes a ringing sensation in the heads of the X-Men and FF(Note: It bypasses Sues Shield)
